The Prospect Parks and Recreation program is committed to providing a variety of leisure and recreational activities for the residents of Prospect. Our goal is to provide children and adults with motivating, educational, and interesting programs to encourage positive physical, emotional, and social experiences for our residents.

UCONN Women at Madison Square Garden

On Sunday December 14, 2008, watch the UCONN women vs. Penn State play in the Maggie Dixon Classic at Madison Square Garden. Maggie Dixon, the head coach at Army died April 6, 2006 after her first season. Her performance won the admiration of all of college basketball! Seats are in the 100 and 200 sections - great location, for the noon game.

Take time to enjoy the holiday decorations, do some shopping, have lunch and get into the spirit of the season as you can only do in New York City.

Included Features: - Round trip Motorcoach transportation - Ticket to the Maggie Dixon Classic - Leisure time in New York City. Cost is $61 per person. For more information contact the Recreation Department at 758-4461.

Women's Volleyball Begins this Month

The Prospect Board of Recreation is again sponsoring Women's Volleyball for women 18 years of age and older. If you would like to engage in some exercise, friendly competition and lots of fun, please join us. All levels of players are welcome. We play Monday nights at Community School from 7 to 9 pm, starting Monday September 8. Fee is $15 for residents, and $20 for non-residents.
