Youth Services Updates

As a new school year begins, it is time to think about the PYS Youth Advisory Board. This is a group of students from Community School as well as Long River Middle School who would like to have input into the activities that PYS provides throughout the school year. Our advisory board meets every month for one hour. Any student who is interested in volunteering may call us at 758-3142.

In addition, PYS will be working with Lisa DeGoes on developing a new Youth Group to assist us in expanding our repertoire of services. Discover what you can do "to make a difference" by becoming a part of a team and strengthening your community. Any student in grades 4 through 8 can contact us for more information.

As a reminder, PYS began a new Random Acts of Kindness program last year to acknowledge those people who perform selfless acts. Two of our Youth Advisory Board members made a "drop off box" that is kept at the Grange for nominations. So if you catch someone doing a good deed, stop by and drop off their name for recognition and an award. Help us to make our community smile.
